1. Best karate uniform

2. A good Karaté Gi

   The only reason it doesn't get top marks is because it's not produced in Japan. Pants are slightly larger than expected. Otherwise, everything is impeccable: fabric seems quite robust, elegant cut... There was no need for the White Belt...

   I've been using this karate-gi for quite long enough to know this is one of the best I've used for its price. I highly recomend it, great quality and great shoping service.

4. Great quality for the price and great shopping experience

   I ordered one with personalized kanjis and with a personalized embroidered logo.
   I also asked Tokaido to shorten the sleeves and the length of the trousers (based on feedback from other buyers and the size chart) for a couple of extra bucks. Manufacturing took 4 weeks, but shipping from Nagoya Japan to Santiago Chile took only 5 days.
   
   I wanted to use it before I could comment, and I can say that it feels like a very good Karate-gi. I wanted to buy this model to test how the brand was (quality of manufacturing, embroidery, fabrics, responses, etc.) and the buying overseas experience, and I couldn't be happier.
   
   The next one I order, will be a Custom Tailored one.
   Tokaido made it so that it no longer makes sense for me to buy another brand.

5. Excellent product and service

   I ordered the Ibuki TU1 karatedogi on Golden Week itself LOL. Once operations resumed, Tokaido got back to me on my inquiries and order and it was a breeze hearing from them. Upon confirmation of order, it took about a week to produce the karatedogi and a few days later, it was at my doorstep.
   
   I had ordered size 4.5. The uniform seems large at first when I tried it on for the first time even though I ordered the correct size, where I found the length of the pants a little longer than I expected. However, once I wore it to the dojo, it was a different story: it fitted perfectly. When doing kumite, it didn't feel obstructive or too heavy and the fabric was comfortable. When doing kihon and kata, it had a nice amount of snap to accompany the movement. Nice confidence booster.
   
   It felt a bit long at first, but it wasn't at all: it was just comfortable.
   
   Definitely would buy another Tokaido again in the near future... I am expecting this one to last me a long while.

6. Quality decision

   For years, I’ve worn a heavyweight but undersized gi. Finally decided to invest in a quality suit and I’m thrilled with the result. I’m 5’11” and medium build; the 5.5 gi felt really large first time on but after training with it I realised it’s perfect. Great quality, great communication with Tokaido, and a very happy customer! Treated myself to an embroidered gi for that extra touch of class. Oss!

7. Amazingly happy with the level of quality

   Having recently begun training again after a 20 year hiatus I decided to spend money on a quality gi that would last me a long time. After a LOT of searching, I figured that the people who made the original karategis are probably the ones who know the most about the art, and I was not disappointed. The embroidery options were wonderful and when the gi arrived I was really taken aback by the quality of the weave and seams. It felt a bit large at first but after a couple of washes it's shrunk down to a good size. The legs are perhaps a little long for me - I have short legs so it would have been nice to have the option to shorten them, but as this is my first gi since I was a child, I had no idea how long they needed to be. However, the stitching on the hem is so robust that I can just give a quick turn up at the end and not lose anything, so it's not so much of a problem. The gi has a really nice snap and all my moves just feel more legitimate now than they did when I was training in sweatpants and vest. I'm reliably informed by my sensei that the gi should last me all the way to black-belt (which I imagine is something like five years), so at the price I really couldn't be happier. This thing oozes quality craftsmanship, and if I do need another gi either before or after black-belt, I know where to come. Outstanding.

8. Amazing service from Tokaido Japan and a great value in my Gi

   Very fast shipping from Japan, with a nice order tracking service. This alone gets a 5 star review. The Ibuki TU1 is a great gi for the price. Very crisp cotton and a nice color. The traditional waist is nice as well. It has a great snap to it, considering its lighter weight, and the fabric crispness keeps it away from your skin during harder training.
   
   The Gi was a bit large, but it allowed me to have it taken in slightly for a custom fit. I'm slightly over 5 foot 10 inches, and bought the 180cm size 6.
   
   I'd buy this Gi again for sure....possibly a half a size down. Very happy with the product and Tokaido as always.

9. Bigger than expected but the cut is very comfortable

   Reading the other reviews I was afraid the gi would be to tight to move comfortable but it was not the case. My other gi (from a different brand) has a more tight cut and even though it is WKF certified, it is not as comfortable as this one.
   I just wish I didn't had made the dumb choice to ask for a gi half a number bigger than my real size (I'm a 6 but ordered a 6 1/2). I was afraid it would shrink more that 10% and make it unwearable, but it seems that the shrink is considered in the size chart. So do yourself a favor and order the right size, do not over adjust considering the shrinking!
   Also my name in katakana looks great, although I had to do adjust the phonetic translation to the one used in Spanish for my name.

10. Bigger and hoter than expected and made in Pakistan

    Maybe I was not paying attenction, i got a made in pakistan gi not expecting it. The size looks pretty above the expected for the height, my son as 1,67 so i asked for 1,7 and is way to big for him, so make your size choose wise. The feednack from my kid is that the gi is too hot, maybe it will be a good fit for winter time. So it was a sucessful birthday present :-(
    Regarding service and time, my congratulations to TOKAIDO alltought the transportation price is out of this world, but at least they comply totally with the planned date of deliver.
