1. Good quality, but now, poor fit

   This is my 4th Tokaido since 2014, I like this brand. Unfortunately the new measurements are not suitable for me. My previous Yakudo has shrunk over time to where the sleeves are now too short. It was a size 6 1/2, I ordered a size 7 this time but the new sizing caught me off guard. The tunic now is nearly to my knees. I feel as if I'm wearing a lab coat. I have tried shrinking it but no use, still too long. More options are needed for sizing. TOKAIDO note: Thank you for your review and we have heard you and others so we started the TOKAIDO ORIGINAL line with the old measurements. Please have a look.

   Finally got my item. Great quality and thanks Dan for always available to answer my queries.
   
   I changed this to TSA Original Size 5 but sizing is really tricky here. For a 172 cm height like me, here is my feedback:
   
   - Shirt overall size is fine except the length is still consider a bit long. Generally the sizing is definitely better than the pants.
   - Pants sizing is really tricky here. It seems to assume people ordering this size is chubby and it is quite wide. Luckily there is string to tighten it around the waist. Length wise is really too long and I need to roll it up 2 -3 times.
   - Quality is no doubt very good! Stitching and embroidery is perfect for me.
   
   I have started using this for training and definitely works for me, except i have to pull my pants up a few times else I would have to roll it up more.
   
   Overall very happy and satisfy with this. (just have to figure out how to order one for my son in future due to the shirt and pants sizing is a bit off. future issue to resolve..)

   I wanted the high waist variant. It took some time to order it, but the quality is really the best i've seen so far. The kimono fits perfectly although i undercalculated the size. Next kimono will be a tokaido for sure.

4. YAKUDO TSA 躍動 Heavyweight Ultimate Kata Uniform

   This uniform is as heavyweight and as snappy, as advertised. Made with unfaltering attention to the minutest detail, the gi has all its stitches and the edges of the fabric prone to fraying carefully finished, a tell-tale sign of a high quality dogi. Superb embroidery. The only complaint I have is that even with my rather long legs, the zubon’s leggings are too long to my taste. (This, however, may be a personal bias of an old-timer who began training in the 70s and spent years in Japan among traditionalists.) To be fair, the sode of the uwagi are tailored perfectly. Last but not least, the Tokaido customer service proved to be outstandingly accommodating and responsive. Great company, great product!

   Thru all my life I have bought only ultimate Tokaido uniforms due to the high quality materials and endurance thru the years, the worth the money they cost, I am 24 years practicing karate.

7. Best kata performance uniform ever.

   I now own 4 Yakudo TSA heavyweight ultimate kata uniform, these are of outstanding quality, I have train 4 times a week and have put them through the rigours of kumite and kata, hundreds of times a week. I always get compliments on the quality, look, finish and fit of my uniform at class and competitions. They actually fit better with age, they are always bright white and hold their shape wash after wash. Best not to wear the same uniform day after day, hence why I have several of the same uniforms. Embroidery is perfect and always exact when ordered.
   
   TOKAIDO note... Thank you for the review and for correctly noting that if you take proper care and wash your uniform after each time... it will get better with age.

   My Gi's (I have 4 of them), are a pleasure to wear and to own. The workmanship is very high quality, the product very durable. If you want THE BEST in your uniform then this is the one for you!

9. Yakudo TSA size 5

   As usual the material and craftsmanship are outstanding. とかいどはさいこです.
   The only thing is I ordered the jacket 88cm instead of the standard 91cm. Your e-mail said that you could make it 88 cm but when I got the dogi it was the usual 91cm. It is a bit long and I would have preferred the shorter jacket. I can make it work so no problem. It just seems the special notes don't make down to the actual production people.
