The HAYATE 疾風 (Hurricane) Ultralight Kumite Uniform has become one of our most popular kumite uniforms.
The HAYATE 疾風 employs the same cut as our most famous ultimate YAKUDO TSA 躍動 for ease of movement and distinctive style. Made from a 50%/50% poly/cotton blend for strength, lightness, and quick drying to retain its distinctive shape with minimal wrinkling. Developed with the direct input of competitors of many styles and organizations to meet the needs for the best combination of comfort, feel and look for competition.

Anticipated shrinkage when properly cared for: Length up to 2%. Width: up to 2.2%.
Custom Embroidery
Tokaido Japan provides the highest quality embroidery in Japanese or English. No company can surpass the level of embroidery perfected by Tokaido. You may choose to embroider your style name and/or your personal name in the general locations designated in the uniform graphic. For Japanese text, please select from the pop up menus by clicking on the Kanji Style Names or the Names in Japanese Katakana below the field that you desire. If your Style or Name is not in the menu then use this Google Translate link https://translate.google.com/#en/ja/ to CREATE and then COPY and PASTE into the field(s) you desire. We will confirm that the translation is correct before production. If you prefer English/Roman letters, then type directly in the field(s) of your choice.
Production Time
As with all uniforms that are made in Japan by Tokaido Japan, each uniform is made as it is ordered. This way we can ensure that you receive the best uniform possible. Currently unembroidered uniforms require 4 weeks and embroidered uniforms require 8 weeks.

Excellent quality
Got them because we're training in Thailand needed something lighter. Plenty of movement but very sturdy material. Would definitely buy again. Top quality.

The hayate is little heavy for kumite but not too much
The gi is Nice cutting, If the weight of the gi you can making more light will be better

Simply the best
Since I have tried a Tokaido uniform for the first time, I have been convinced they are the best quality dôgi. And the one I have just received does not change my opinion ☺️

Nice Uniform but unfortunately no generic Shotokan Label is available
Nice Uniform with a Shotokan Label. Unfortunately TOKAIDO offers no generic Shotokan Label, only association related labels. Hundreds of thousands of Shotokan pracitioners without being related to those associations can´t be served. It should be developed to complete the label range.

Very high quality lightweight uniform
This uniform feels so comfortable yet is very rugged. Such a great blend. Don't let the name "ultralight" fool you into thinking this is just another cheap, lightweight uniform. This is the "ultimate" lightweight uniform. Thus the name. Brilliant idea for a name, isn't it?
