Shipping & Returns
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping option. Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based to reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kilogram.
We do not charge sales tax for your order because you reside outside of Japan. You may be charged for CUSTOMS duties depending on the country we deliver to. We do not have any control of these duties and if payment is required it is not paid to TOKAIDO.
TOKAIDO guarantees that each item that you receive will be as you have ordered or we will remake and resend to you the correct one at no extra charge to you.
TOKAIDO will accept returns of un-embroidered, unworn, un-customized, undamaged and un-altered items after consultation with us first. We will not charge a restocking fee. We cannot accept embroidered items as we cannot provide them to another customer so please order carefully.
TOKAIDO will not accept returns, or remake of any orders 6 months after the order was delivered under any circumstances.
As you may have already read for some orders we make each one individually as it is ordered which requires time for proper craftsmanship. As soon as your order is completed, we will send you an update with the shipping information for Fedex so that you may track your order on its way to you. Fedex delivery is usually within 1 week from the shipping date.
You may return most new, unused items within 30 days of delivery for an exchange or a full refund depending on the circumstances. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
