The Champion 覇者 (Hasha) Shotokan Tiger Black Belt is TOKAIDO's most popular Special (Yohachi) black belt beautifully embroidered with the Shotokan Tiger directly on the belt. Made with a 100% thick canvas core and covered with an outer layer of special high grade cotton. Sewn with 11 rows of reinforced stitching for resilience and a beautiful finish. We will embroider the Shotokan Tiger in the color of your choice on whichever end you prefer.
Available in standard and extra width. For EXTRA WIDTH belts choose one size longer so that the embroidery will not be lost in the knot when tied. Designed for strength and long durability.
Custom Embroidery
Tokaido Japan provides the highest quality embroidery in Japanese or English. No company can surpass the level of embroidery perfected by Tokaido.
The secret in the manufacturing of our belts is that the parts are cut and embroidered separately before being assembled and sewn together. This is the reason why they are so strong, neat and beautifully finished. The embroidery will not show through on the reverse side. This is the hallmark of a true, Made in Japan - Tokaido Black Belt.
In TOKAIDO’s continuing commitment to quality and customer service we have decided to add 3 font options for our black belt embroidery. Below from left to right we are offering:
Left Choice 昇龍 translated as “Rising Dragon”. (Default font)
Middle Choice 太行書 translated as “Bold Cursive”.
Right Choice 龍神 translated as “Dragon God”.
Each kanji font has it’s own character with the Left Choice described as crisp and clear, the Middle Choice characterized as strong and bold, and the Right Choice as sophisticated and detailed. TOKAIDO is happy to provide this choice and we hope you will appreciate these new options.
Please note: the Left Choice 昇龍 “Rising Dragon” is the default font and will be used if neither of the other two are chosen.
You may choose to embroider your style name and/or your personal name. For Japanese text, please select from the pop up menus by clicking on the Kanji Style Names or the Names in Japanese Katakana below the field that you desire. If your Style or Name is not in the menu then use this Google Translate link https://translate.google.com/#en/ja/ to CREATE and then COPY and PASTE into the field(s) you desire. We will confirm that the translation is correct before production. If you prefer English/Roman letters, then type directly in the field(s) of your choice.
Production Time
As with all black belts that are made in Japan by Tokaido Japan, each one is made as it is ordered. This way we can ensure that you receive the best kuroobi possible. Currently embroidered belts require 5 weeks.

This is the first time I ordered the Shotokan Tiger Black Belt from Tokaido. And as I've come to experience with Tokaido Black Belts, this Shotokan Tiger continue to maintain the highest quality standards that Tokaido is known for. The thickness of belt and stitching is top notch, assuring you many, many years of competitive use. But the best of all is the craftsmanship of the Shotokan Tiger emblem and Kanji/Katakana characters. You can wear it with pride as they are flawless and catches attention (I ordered the Gold color for emblem and they look stunning against the black color). If you're a Shotokan Karate practitioner, you'll never go wrong with this belt.

Shotokan tiger belt

I recently purchased the shotokan belt. The belt is high quality and I am very satisfied with it. The embroidery came out perfectly and looks great. I was able to ask that the association I belong to be embroidered on it, sending a photo of what I wanted, and it worked out great. My mistake was I think I should have ordered one size larger. That was my fault. I highly recommend the design and the belt. TOKAIDO note. Thank you for your review and we are sorry that you chose a smaller size.

Ceinture magnifique avec style d'écriture numéro 3, grandeur 4,5 ainsi que le logo tigre.
Comme toujours qualité irréprochable et question délais, il y avait presque une semaine d'avance.
Bravo, je ne me lasse pas de commander chez Tokaido Japan.
